Silas does closed training at Ninho do Urubu

Coach gives no clues about the team that will face Fluminense on Sunday at Engenhão

Flamengo coach Silas doesn't want to give his opponent any clues about the Rubro-Negro's lineup for Sunday's (19.09) classic against Fluminense, at Engenhão. The coach led an activity lasting just over an hour behind closed doors for the press at the club's Training Center, Ninho do Urubu, in Vargem Grande, this Saturday (18.09), the day before the duel.

When journalists were allowed in, the players were already playing their traditional recreational training session, the "rachão" (soccer kick). In a press conference held last Friday (17/09), the coach had already said that he would not reveal any details about the red-and-black formation and that he would work with different formations, according to what Muricy Ramalho can do at Fluminense.

"There's a chance we could make some changes to our movement, but everything will be within what I think Muricy is thinking. He's facing issues with Deco, trying to get into better physical shape. Many are like that. We'll wait and work on one or two different options and then we'll decide," he said.

The red-and-black coach anticipates a good strategic duel with the tricolor commander, whom he admires, and hopes to secure victory in the derby.

"I really like Muricy's way of working. He's very direct, serious, and honors his contracts. We've played against him in the last two years. I've won and lost. Now it's Fla-Flu, a different world, and we hope to take advantage of this recovery," he concluded.
