Silas promises conversation in search of evolution
Coach says some players performed less than expected and predicts a tough game on Sunday

There is little time to train, but coach Silas knows that he will have to \ iron out some details in the Flamengo team for the team to start in the \ 2010 Brazilian Championship. \ Fla's new coach believes that the team could have made better use of some of the opportunities it had while Cruzeiro was winning 1-0 in the first half. Aware of the difficulty that the team will face next Sunday (05.09), against Santos, the coach promises a week of hard work.

"While it was 1-0 and we had eleven players, there was a chance to draw. But there is a lot to work on. I will talk to one or two players who I felt were underperforming. We have a very difficult match on Sunday," said the coach, who made a brief analysis of the game against Raposa.

"We knew it would be difficult either way. In the first half, I believe their team had one or two more chances, but it was balanced. In the second half, we were still in the game until the red card. I'm not here to judge the referee's decision, but for me, the play was neck and neck. From then on, Cruzeiro dominated the game," he observed.

\ Silas believes that physical preparation also has work to be done.\ The Flamengo commander knows that time is short, but believes that \ it will be possible to evolve soon.

"It's a situation we can't escape. Pet, in a set piece, can decide the game, but he was 32 minutes in when I took him off. It's a situation that, along with physical preparation, we'll have to work on and sort it all out in a quicker space of time. We'll have to condition ourselves by playing," he concluded.
