Flamengo's new coach, Silas, was officially introduced this Monday (August 30.08) in Gávea, and has already led his first training session as the club's coach. After a quick chat with the group, he spoke with some players separately. Executive director Zico, vice-president of football Vinícius França, and football manager Isaías Tinoco also participated in the conversation.

Afterward, while the starters did some recovery work, the players who didn't play the entire match against Guarani on Sunday used half the pitch for technical training. Silas actively participated and delivered crosses during finishing drills. Renato, one of the most experienced players in the group, welcomed the new coach.

"It was a good conversation. He arrived, introduced himself, and showed himself willing to help us. He was very transparent and genuine. I welcome him, and may he help us on this long and difficult journey. There will certainly be many conversations," said the number 11.

With him also arrived fitness coach Emerson Buck, assistant coach Paulo Pereira, and performance analyst Marcos Paulo. Another new addition this Monday at Gávea was Chilean Fierro, who returned to training with the squad.
