Flamengo signs striker Vitinho

Player signs four-year contract with the club; presentation will be on Sunday

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo announces that striker Vitinho is a reinforcement for the red-black club for the rest of the 2018 season. The player, who was at CSKA (Russia), signs a four-year contract.

Victor Vinícius Coelho dos Santos, known as Vitinho, began his career in the youth ranks of Audax (RJ). He was signed by Botafogo, where he turned professional. In 2013, after outstanding performances, he was sold to CSKA. Later, in 2015, he was loaned to Internacional (RS) and remained with the Rio Grande do Sul club for one season. He returned to the Moscow club and has now agreed to a transfer to Flamengo. He also played for the Brazilian national team's youth ranks.

A declared Rubro-Negro fan, Vitinho, currently 24 years old, won the Rio Cup (2012 and 2013), the Guanabara Cup (2013) and the Carioca Championship (2013) with Botafogo; the Russian Championship (2013-14) and the Russian Super Cup (2014 and 2018) with CSKA; finally, the Gaucho Championship (2015 and 2016) with Internacional. 

Now, the striker faces a great professional challenge wearing the Sacred Mantle of the biggest club in Brazil. 

Vitinho will be presented at a press conference this Sunday (29), at 14 pm, in the Maracanã auditorium, before the match between Flamengo x Sport, for the Brazilian Championship. Afterwards, he will go to the pitch to greet the Flamengo fans.
