Luck, confidence and putting the ball in

Flamengo captain Leo Moura gives the recipe for a successful Brazilian Championship campaign

By - in

The recipe for Flamengo's 2010 Brazilian Championship momentum has three key ingredients, according to right-back and Flamengo captain Leonardo Moura: luck, confidence, and putting the ball in the opposing net. The number 2 believes the 2009 run should serve as inspiration for the team this season.

According to him, the team can grow while still under suspicion, after all, it has the quality to do so. Leo believes the team has everything it needs to turn things around in the competition.

"The situation is similar to last year. We were also in that period, experiencing a period of distrust, but then we managed to get going in the Brazilian league. With the group we have, we can't stay out of the top four. We're lacking luck and confidence to put the ball in the net."

The full-back also believes that the fans' demand for positive results is normal and praises the work being done by the group and coaching staff.

"It's normal for all the fans to demand it, but we need to stay calm, because the job is being done well, the results will appear and this opinion will change," he concluded.
