Returning to the Flamengo squad after serving a suspension, striker Souza will also return to play alongside Argentine Maxi in this Sunday's match against Juventude in Caxias do Sul. The duo performed well together, is considered an ideal fit by coach Joel Santana, and shows signs of chemistry off the field as well.

On Thursday, Maxi said he was happy to return from injury and have Souza as his attacking partner again. This Friday, it was the number 9's turn to return the praise.

"Maxi is a player of great quality and completes me in attack, because he plays very well on the wings and allows me to play the way I like best, as a reference point. I'm happy that we can play together again and I hope he comes back in good shape and creates chances for my goals," commented the player, who seems to have understood how coach Joel Santana wants to see the team perform in the South.

"We can't play there like we do here. They need the points and will go all out. We have to act calmly, doing what the coach asked of us, without apathy or rushing."
