By Flamengo Archive - inSouza is one of the players who has improved the most in this final stretch of the Brazilian Championship. With excellent performances, he has helped the club achieve results. In the last game, against Grêmio at Maracanã, the striker scored the first goal, paving the way for the red-and-black victory. Against América-RN on Sunday at Machadão, the number nine hopes to score again.

One of the factors that contributed to his rise in performance was Joel Santana's appointment as team manager. The player is aware of this and credits the coach for his strong performances.
"I've improved a lot with Joel. With him, I gained more game rhythm and was able to showcase my strengths. I'd already worked with him, and that made things even easier. I owe him a lot," the striker concluded.
For the game against América-RN, Souza believes in victory, but knows that the difficulties will be great.
"It's a very difficult game, as their team plays without much responsibility. The fans might think it will be an easy match, but we're down to earth and aware of the difficulties we'll face. We're counting on our fans at Machadão Stadium and we're going after the win. It will be a key match for our championship ambitions."
