During the session, which lasted about 25 minutes, the club's manager tested a new formation, with Marcinho replacing Diego Tardelli. With the change, Renato Augusto returned to partnering Souza in attack, with Marcinho forming the midfield with Ibson, Kleberson, and Cristian. The defense consisted of Bruno, Luizinho, Fábio Luciano, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan.

Even with the 0-0 draw, coach Joel Santana praised the team's performance.

- "It was a great training session. We hit the post twice and had at least four good chances to score. The team is ready, but I'll take the doubt between Diego Tardelli and Marcinho until the game."
