Diego Tardelli was operated on this morning by Dr. Runco, who reports that the surgery, which lasted more than 2 hours, was a success and confirms that the recovery is expected to take 3 or 4 months.

According to Dr. Márcio Tannure, who also participated in the surgery, the attacker had two titanium plates placed (one in each fractured bone) and sixteen screws.

"The surgery was a success. We placed two titanium plates and 16 screws. He had a complex fracture, but the surgery went as expected. He'll likely need three months of recovery. He'll be reevaluated tomorrow and should be discharged no later than Wednesday."
