Time to train will be one of Fla's reinforcements during the Brazilian break
Regardless of pressure from some fans, the group predicts a stronger Rubro-Negro in July.

All the teams competing in the 2010 Brazilian Championship are eagerly awaiting the World Cup break. And it's no different for Flamengo, the defending champions. With plenty of time to work, the red-and-black squad knows it will return stronger for the rest of the competition, likely with some key reinforcements and a stronger sense of cohesion.
At least that's what Rogério Lourenço hopes. After taking over the team in the middle of two competitions (the Libertadores and the Brasileirão), the Flamengo coach will use the World Cup break to try to give the team a new face.
"With one game after another, in seven rounds, I couldn't repeat the lineups. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't. We know that a team needs to be trained to be successful. Both reinforcements and training time are important. There's no point in working with a group for a month and then having five or seven players arrive the day before the championship starts. Ideally, we should prepare by assembling a group," analyzed Rogério.
After lifting the trophy for the sixth Brazilian championship, goalkeeper and captain Bruno also sees this situation positively.
"Now we will have time to work and even more time to pursue our goals. We have to keep our heads at ease, because we know we have to improve. And we will improve."
Regarding possible additional pressure for not having remained in the G4 during the World Cup break, Flamengo's players show, contrary to what many expect, confidence, as does the coaching staff.
"Flamengo is all about pressure. We live it. Anyone who lives Flamengo knows that it's all about results. You win today, but tomorrow you have to chase something else. To play here, you have to take a deep breath before speaking, keep a clear head, and know that you always need to improve," Bruno said.
Perhaps the most pressured of the entire red-black group, Rogério Lourenço also shows serenity when analyzing his situation at the helm of Flamengo.
"If I hadn't been prepared, I wouldn't have even picked this team against Corinthians. We can't consider Flamengo's fans, which are the biggest in Brazil, to be a small group that sits there and complains before the game even starts. I don't worry about that. I have the utmost respect for true fans, who know the difficulties that are happening," Rogério added.
