Texaco is Flamengo's new sponsor

By - in

Texaco, one of the most traditional lubricant and grease brands in the country, is the new sponsor of Flamengo. The red and black colors, which guide both the brand and the team, prove to be a natural connection for the partnership that will be officialized this Saturday (22), at Maracanã (RJ), in the match against América-MG, at 16 pm. The contract duration is 18 months, running until December 2024.

The sponsorship includes a series of commercial deliveries and allows Texaco to have its branding on the team's training and warm-up jerseys, on the microphones at press conferences, and on the advertising signs at Ninho do Urubu, the club's Training Center (TC). Also planned are spots on FlaTV and a partnership to produce segments on the club's official channel.

"Our goal is to increase the visibility of the Texaco brand and expand our sponsorship platform to other sports beyond motorsports. Soccer was our natural choice because it's a national passion and a common thread among the diverse customer profiles with which Texaco works. Sponsoring the country's biggest club is one of our key initiatives for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. We believe the partnership with Flamengo materializes our growth and brand presence strategy," says Paulo Gomes, marketing director at ICONIC, the Texaco brand manager. "We'll also have Texaco on LED boards on the field for some of the club's Brasileirão matches," adds the executive.

Flamengo's Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Gustavo Oliveira, praised the partnership. "We are very happy with this partnership. Texaco is a well-known brand for the quality of its products and its tradition in the international market. This agreement once again demonstrates the recognition of major companies in the strength of the Flamengo brand and the enormous purchasing power of the great Red-Black Nation. We are confident that we will build a great success story with Texaco," he stated.
