Flamengo's squad returned to training this Friday afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center in Vargem Grande. During a collective training session, coach Cuca finalized the team's details for the upcoming Brazilian Championship match, on Sunday, against Cortiba, at Couto Pereira.

The red-and-black coach named the starting lineup as follows: Bruno; Welinton, Airton, and Ronaldo Angelim; Everton Silva, Toró, Ibson, Juan, and Everton; Josiel and Adriano. The reserves were: Marcelo Lomba, Willians, Fabrício, and Thiago Sales; Fierro, Jônatas, Petkovic, Zé Roberto, and Jorbison; Erick Flores and Aleílson.

The starters put in a strong performance, winning 6-1 with goals from Adriano (2), Juan (2), Josiel, and Ibson. Fierro pulled one back for the substitutes. The Chilean was the only player coach Cuca tested. Fierro came on for Toró in the final session.

After the activity, Cuca praised the red-black team's preparation work for Sunday's match.

"We worked well all week and are prepared. I think it's going to be a great game. Flamengo will go to win, even though they know it's very difficult to face Coritiba at Couto Pereira. They've already proven against Inter that they're very dangerous at home. But I believe it's going to be a close match."

Serbian Petkovic travels to Buenos Aires tomorrow to obtain his work visa. He returns to Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday and will report for training in the afternoon.
