Flamengo's squad returned to training this Thursday afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center in Vargem Grande. Preparing the Flamengo team for Sunday's match against Cruzeiro at Mineirão Stadium, manager Caio Júnior organized the first collective training session of the week.

Juan, who is recovering from pain in his right leg, performed differently than the rest of the squad. It was the full-back's first time on the field this week to work with the ball. This earned Everton a starting spot in the training session. Caio Júnior fielded the main squad with: Bruno; Jailton, Fábio Luciano, and Ronaldo Angelim; Léo Moura, Airton, Ibson, Kleberson, and Everton; Marcelinho Paraíba, and Obina. The reserves trained with: Diego, Luizinho, Leonardo, Dininho, and Fernando; Toró, Jônatas, Sambueza, and Fierro; Vandinho and Diego Tardelli.

In the first few minutes of training, the reserve team had a chance to open the scoring. Toró made a beautiful play through the middle and was brought down in the box by Jailton. The penalty was awarded by "referee" Caio Júnior. Vandinho's poor shot went over Bruno's goal. After this chance, the starting team stepped up and began to dominate the training session. Obina hit the post twice. Marcelinho Paraíba also had a great chance but ended up hitting the crossbar after a fine individual play. In the end, Kleberson passed the ball to Ibson, who scored after Diego's effort.

The good news was Diego Tardelli's presence during the 30-minute training session. The striker performed well in the training session and expressed excitement about returning to the field after three months.

"Training went really well, I performed well, and I received some compliments from Caio Júnior. I'll be 100% ready to face Cruzeiro. I'm ready and very motivated to help in this final stretch. I'm really excited after three months. I might be back soon against the team I injured in the first round. Who knows, maybe it's a good coincidence. I had a really good conversation with Caio Júnior yesterday and told him I'm available for the game."
