Flamengo took a big step forward in the fight to win the state futsal championship title in the adult category.

Last Friday (28/11), at the Grajaú Country gymnasium, the red-black team beat the Cabo Frio team, in the first match of the 2008 State Futsal final, by 4 to 3.

Cid Escarlate's team started the game well, taking a 3-0 lead in the first half (goals by Arthur Linhares, Michel Marques, and Rafael Sixel). In the second half, the team from the Lagos Region managed to tie the game, but when they ran out of foul time, Flamengo took advantage and scored their fourth goal, a shot by Rafael Silva.

With this result, the team from Gávea goes to Cabo Frio for the second and decisive game, with the advantage of a draw in extra time.

The next match is next Friday, November 5th, at 20 pm, at the Cabo Frio Multi-Sports Gymnasium.
