Flamengo's current football season isn't the best, but the fans remain behind the team. The reigning Brazilian champions, Flamengo, are in sixteenth place in the standings and need a win against Goiás this Tuesday (September 27.09th) to move away from the relegation zone. And the team will have a great ally in this fight to get going in the Brazilian Championship: their greatest asset, the Flamengo Nation.

Leaders of organized fan groups attended a meeting at Gávea with the players in the locker room after training this Monday (September 26.09th). Coach Silas also participated in the conversation, which had a supportive tone and demonstrated the fans' confidence in the players' talent. The main point of the speech was that the fans will always be on the team's side, regardless of the results, as long as there is dedication on the field.

The fans promised not to engage in any kind of violent protest. They also said they would always be in contact with the players to show their support for "the best squad in Brazil." The players' talent was praised, and according to representatives of the organized fan groups, if there is fighting spirit on the field and support in the stands, Flamengo cannot be defeated by anyone and will be able to climb much higher in the standings.

"It's important to know that the fans are with us. Flamengo's fans are special, they support the team at all times, and we know that we have to do our part on the field to keep that going," said midfielder Renato.

This Monday afternoon, the Flamengo delegation will depart for Goiânia. The match this Tuesday will be at 21:10 PM (Brasília time) against Goiás, at the Serra Dourada stadium.
