Flamengo fans can count on several players who have made history with the club, including Serbian Petkovic and defender Ronaldo Angelim. The midfielder scored the unforgettable goal that won Flamengo three times in Rio de Janeiro in 1999, 2000, and 2001, and was also instrumental in last year's sixth Brazilian championship campaign, where he scored the title-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Grêmio in the final round.

As a way of thanking them, Flamengo fans paid tribute to the two last Friday (06.08) and presented Pet and Angelim with personalized flags, which were being taken to Maracanã on Flamengo match days.

"I'm happy with this tribute. I was surprised to see that the fans brought the flag for me. I found it very interesting and I'm very happy with this recognition. Flamengo fans have always been very fond of me," said the defender.

Also a Flamengo fan since childhood, Ronaldo Angelim took the opportunity to leave a message to the Red-Black Nation.

"I want to tell them, besides thanking them, that my heart is also red and black like theirs. Flamengo is very important to me," concluded the number 4 of the Gávea team, who has been with the club for five years and has already played 234 matches, scored 15 goals and won five titles.

Pet, meanwhile, played for Flamengo from 2000 to 2002 and returned to the club midway through last year. He has played 177 matches and is the foreigner who has scored the most goals for the Rubro-Negro: 54. He won four titles with the Gávea team.
