Flamengo's fan base is almost 30% larger than Corinthians'.

A study by the Análise/Insight Comunicação Institute revealed a difference of seven million between the two clubs

Everyone knows that Flamengo has the largest fan base in Brazil. However, another study on the subject has reinforced Flamengo's dominance over other Brazilian clubs. The study found that the nation has 30,4 million passionate fans. Second place, occupied by Corinthians, has 23,5 million.

Comparing the two largest fan bases in the country, Flamengo has a 29,36% advantage over Corinthians. When the comparison is made in Rio de Janeiro, the difference widens even further. Compared to Vasco's fan base, Flamengo's is more than three times larger, Botafogo's is more than seven times larger, and Fluminense's is 11 times larger.

Flamengo fans once again lead the rankings when it comes to purchasing power. The nation's purchasing potential, measured by multiplying household income by fan base size, is 20,8%. Corinthians fans account for 19,1%, and São Paulo fans, 13,7%.
