Flamengo trained for approximately an hour at Recreio beach on Tuesday morning (June 22.06). During this time, several fans and onlookers gathered at the training site to get a closer look at their idols. Flamengo fans of all ages couldn't contain their excitement at seeing the current Brazilian champions so close.

One of the most celebrated names who signed autographs after the activity was Petkovic. A fan favorite since his goal in the third Rio de Janeiro championship in 2001, and who further cemented his place in Flamengo's history after winning their sixth Brazilian championship last year, the Serbian thanked the fans for their support.

"I always say this: I still haven't found the words to describe what I feel for this fan base. Their affection for me has always been enormous, and it's very special to know that. Over the years, it seems like it's been growing, and I just hope to continue giving back on the field, which is my way of helping Flamengo," he said.

Young Vinícius Pacheco, who this year established himself as a starter for the red-black team, also thanked the support and stated that it is important for fans to follow the team's day-to-day activities to see the dedication of each player on the field.

"Flamengo fans are always very receptive. It's great to work and know that the fans are here watching. It's also good because they see how much effort we put in and how much we want to be at our best when we return to face Botafogo," he added.

Also on Tuesday, Flamengo will return to training. At 15 p.m., the group will conduct a technical activity at Ninho do Urubu.
