Coach Rogério Lourenço may have another reinforcement for Saturday's match (August 14.08) against Ceará at Maracanã. The red-black commander should have midfielder Toró available, who suffered a hand injury during the team's preseason in Itu, during the World Cup, and now, fully recovered, only depends on the approval of his physical preparation and match rhythm to be selected.
The midfielder still doesn't know if he will be selected for the match, but he made himself available to Rogério for the match.
"I'm better, recovered and feeling good. Physically I'm still improving, but I'm training with my teammates and it's up to coach Rogério Lourenço and the coaching staff to decide on the lineup," he said.
The player has been training normally with the group, played the last training session with the reserve team and doesn't hide his desire to return to playing as soon as possible.
"Of course I miss playing, don't I? But I'm calm. I've been working hard, even to avoid returning when I'm not feeling well. I only want to play when I'm really prepared, so I can avoid compromising myself and the team," he added.
Since 2006 at Gávea, Toró has played 162 matches with Rubro-Negro, scored six goals and provided nine assists, in addition to having won a Copa do Brasil, three State Championships and a Brasileirão.
