The defeat to Atlético-MG in the last round is a thing of the past. Tomorrow, against Vasco, the Flamengo players are betting that the fans will support the team and help it recover in the Brazilian Championship. For Toró, any doubts will be put to rest with a convincing performance from Flamengo tomorrow.
"Flamengo fans are always excited, especially when it's a derby. We lost a game we couldn't handle, and that could generate distrust. But anyone who goes to Maracanã will see a completely different Flamengo. A derby motivates even more, and we'll bring the fans back to our side," he predicts.
The introduction of young Airton in place of the suspended Jailton is seen as natural by everyone. Although recently promoted to the professional ranks, Airton is seen as an experienced player who has faced his traditional rival twice and never lost (one draw and one win).
"Airton is shy, but he transforms on the field. He even gives advice to Fabio Luciano," Toró revealed.
