Volante believes that the family formed in Gávea is a great differentiator for this group.

Much of Flamengo's current squad has been at Gávea for a few years now. This creates a strong chemistry between the players, both on and off the field. And it's precisely this unity that midfielder Toró is banking on, aiming for a positive second half of the year for the Red-Blacks.
Despite the changes in some of the group's members, both in the squad and in the coaching staff, Toró guarantees that the spirit of the red-blacks has not changed.
"The committee has changed, but our feeling here is the same. The group is very united, very strong, and wants to achieve good results in the second half of the year. We'll do everything we can to be in the Libertadores again next year," he said.
The midfielder also commented on the team's rest days between the last round of the Brazilian Championship and the return match. According to him, this time was beneficial for the players.
"A break is always good, and I think it's been good for all of us. But I'm happy to be back here, working with my teammates and thinking about doing the best for Flamengo," said the player, who also took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of spending part of the preseason outside of Rio.
"It's good because we breathe new air, we have time to bond more with the new professionals who arrive and also to become even more intimate. The group spends more time together and this ends up strengthening the bond," he added.
Flamengo's players are undergoing evaluations this week in Gávea, and will return to training in Rio next week. On the 28th, the team travels to Itu, in the interior of São Paulo, where they will stay until July 8th, completing their preseason. The red-and-black team's next game in the Brasileirão is on July 14th, against Botafogo.
