On July 2nd, while Flamengo was still conducting its preseason training camp in Itu, São Paulo state, midfielder Toró fractured his left hand during training and was forced to miss the club's first four Brasileirão games following the World Cup. However, his recovery was expedited, and he is now training with the group again.

On Tuesday (27.07), the player walked around the pitch, no longer wearing the immobilization he had been using on his arm since the injury was diagnosed. With no date set for his return to official matches, the player celebrated the fact that he was recovering well.

"I'm happy to be back after all this time. I still have some limitations, but now I just need to readapt to get back to playing. I'll let things happen naturally, there's no timetable yet," he said.

Despite not yet being fit to play for Sunday's classic (01.08), Toró will be cheering for his teammates in the duel against Vasco.

"Vasco and Flamengo are always different. I'm rooting for them, the team is on the rise, Rogério is doing a good job and it's up to his teammates to put the good work they've done in training on the field on Sunday," he added.
