Toró wants to see the team improving more and more
The midfielder hopes to maintain his good form and continue helping the team to start in the Brasileirão.
By From the team at Flamengo's official website - inOne of the players who has benefited greatly from coach Silas' arrival at Flamengo is defensive midfielder Toró. The number five has regained his place as a starter for Flamengo and has already shown his true colors by scoring the winning goal in the 2-1 victory over Grêmio Prudente last week. But he doesn't want to stop there: he wants to continue his work and seeks to increasingly contribute to the team in the Brasileirão.
"We have to keep going. It doesn't matter if we played two good games, we always need to be improving, evolving. The victory came and gave us extra motivation, but we know that's not enough. We have to keep going like this," he said.
The center's head coach only laments the fact that the team has relatively little time to work between matches. Even so, he sees the team on the right track for victories.
"We have little time to work with Professor Silas, the team is not yet in the ideal state, but we are on the right track", said the player, who also commented on Willians' absence in the duel with Tricolor Gaúcho, this Wednesday (22.09), in Porto Alegre.
"Of course, Willians is essential to the team, but the other players who will be fighting for that spot, like Correa and Maldonado, also have a lot of quality. They have different characteristics, but they're not at Flamengo for nothing, and we have to give them our best right now," he concluded.
