Midfielder Toró had a hero's day this Thursday (16.09). Having scored the winning goal for the red-blacks over Prudente in the last minute of the match last Wednesday (15.09) in São Paulo, he was the most celebrated player upon the red-black team's arrival in the early evening. The number five, who earned a starting spot under coach Silas, was full of smiles and confidence upon returning to the Marvelous City.

"Flamengo is capable of beating any opponent when it imposes its rhythm on the field. Silas is an experienced coach, a guy who knows how to work a team. We know the difficulty we'll face in the game against Fluminense. They're a team that's not the leader for nothing. We know they have quality players, but it's a derby, and it involves a lot. Whoever has a little more heart will come out victorious," said the midfielder, who is in the process of renewing his contract with Flamengo.

"My agent has been talking to Zico (CEO) and Isaías (Tinoco, football manager). I hope that the outcome of this situation can be happy for me, for Flamengo, and for my family.
