Number 21 Toró played two excellent matches against Internacional and appears to have regained his place in Flamengo's starting lineup. The midfielder insists he wasn't discouraged while out of the team and promises to work hard to maintain his place in the starting eleven.

"I'm very happy to be back. I never lost heart when I was on the bench and kept working because I knew the opportunity would come. I hope to stay with the team."

Toró stated that the elimination from the Copa do Brasil is already a thing of the past.

"We know we're not doing well in the Brazilian Championship, and now is the time to win. We're only thinking about the Brasileirão, and the elimination from the Copa do Brasil has already been overcome by all the players. We have a tough match against Santo André, in São Paulo, and we have to be very careful."
