Peace of mind to achieve positive results

Rogério Lourenço believes his team is improving in the Brazilian Championship

The Brazilian Championship is only in its 13th round. Therefore, Flamengo coach Rogério Lourenço believes that Flamengo fans can rest assured regarding the red-and-black team. According to him, the team has been improving and will soon bring much joy to the nation.

Accustomed to the pressure from the red-blacks, as he also played for Flamengo, Rogério asks for patience and warns that, with peace of mind, the team from Gávea has everything it needs to grow even more in the Brasileirão.

"Flamengo fans know the team is doing its best and working to turn things around. There will always be pressure, but the team played well today (against Corinthians) and lost to a qualified team. They have to turn things around, but they have to be calm for that to happen," he said.
The red-black commander also avoids comparisons with the squad that won the Brazilian championship in 2009 and values the players he has under his command.

"This comparison with Flamengo in 2009 is inevitable. But, to begin with, that team had five players who left (Bruno, Álvaro, Adriano, Airton and Zé Roberto). This comparison ends up being unfair. We have to value the players who came through and helped Flamengo, but life goes on," he added.
