"Expectations are high. The fans are desperate for a title. We, as players, are the first to want that too. We'll work hard and do everything we can to make it happen," the left-back assured. "They're a great team, that's why they're in the semifinals. We have to worry about them, but also about ourselves, focusing on playing a good game," he commented.

The left-back emphasized the importance of the victory against the São Paulo team in the 36th round of the Brazilian Championship, which was crucial for the rest of the season. "It's always important to win a big match. It boosted our confidence for the next match, which is very important for all of us. The mood is better after beating Corinthians," he added.

Trauco returned to Rio de Janeiro after achieving a historic qualification with the Peruvian national team. After triumphing over New Zealand in the playoff, Peru secured a spot in the 2018 World Cup, which will be held in Russia. "It was the most beautiful week of my life. A historic milestone for Peru, being in the World Cup after 36 years. With Flamengo, I hope to give my best so that everything goes as smoothly as possible. We'll go with great determination to achieve victories," he predicted.

Paolo Guerrero, who was unable to play for his country in this decisive match due to a negative drug test result, was remembered by his compatriot. Dedicating the qualification to the center forward, Trauco commented on the correct manner in which the number 9 has always conducted his career.

"He's calm. He obviously congratulated me on the match. The group is behind him, we trust him. We're optimistic that the result will be his. He's 33 years old and has been disciplined throughout his career. This qualification is also a tribute to him," he said, emphasizing the importance of the team's collective performance in this final stretch of the season. "He's a very important player for the team's performance, but we have to keep working. We have Vizeu and young Lincoln, players of great quality, with good characteristics. We need to have confidence as a team to achieve positive results," he concluded.
