However, coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has been emphasizing that the match isn't decisive for the Red-Blacks. After all, there are still more games left in the competition, and a loss won't make things much more difficult for the Red-Blacks.

With 40 points, Flamengo is 13th in the table, and if they fail to get past the Minas team, they can only be overtaken by Vitória, 14th, which has 38. The first team in the relegation zone is Guarani, 17th, with 36.

"If we lose this game, no one will catch us, so we're not going to make it a decisive situation like that. Of course, it's important, but not decisive. We have to make projections for the other four games too, until the end of the championship. There's no point in placing importance on this game and forgetting about the rest," said the coach, who, on the other hand, knows that a victory would greatly help the team from Gávea.

"If we win, it will be great, as it brings us even closer to our goal. The important thing is to make projections for the South American Cup as well. We can't just think about relegation," he noted.

The coach still doesn't believe that the fact that he trained Galo doesn't give him any kind of benefit, especially because the opposing players are already familiar with his style of work.

"It's a game involving two big clubs, a direct clash, and we hope to put on a great performance. The fact that I coached Atlético doesn't benefit me at all. If I know the players, they know me too.
