Coach wants Fla to maintain the momentum
Caio Júnior praises the spirit of the red-black squad.
By Flamengo Archive - inAfter renewing his contract with Flamengo until the end of December 2009, coach Caio Júnior was clearly pleased during this morning's training session at Gávea. Caio praised the Flamengo board's stance.
"The management's confidence made me very happy. It's a contract that allows for a different approach. You have the opportunity to work with and launch players."
The manager hopes Flamengo can maintain its squad for the rest of the season. Caio confirms that he made a special request to Vice President of Football Kleber Leite.
"I'm desperate for this month to end so this worry can be put to rest. All the big teams are facing this problem because they have well-known players. I made a special request to Kleber regarding Juan. He's currently the best full-back in Brazil and is irreplaceable."
Caio Júnior highlighted the competitive and warrior spirit of the Flamengo team.
"We have to maintain the spirit we're in when we go out on the field. We're really excited, so much so that we're the team that's had the most steals in the Brazilian Championship. We have to keep that momentum going."
