The tactical training session scheduled for Wednesday morning (October 24th) was canceled due to heavy rain in Rio de Janeiro. The Gávea field was flooded, making it unsuitable for training. As a result, the players performed strength training exercises at the club's gym.

Coach Joel Santana regretted the fact, as this morning's tactical training was part of the planning for Sunday's game (28/10), against América-RN.

"The cancellation of training was a huge disruption. We were supposed to conduct tactical training today and, tomorrow, a specific physical and technical activity. It would have been inhumane to force a situation on the field."

Despite the problem, the manager believes in a good performance by Flamengo against the opponent, and remembers that this is the first opportunity the Club has to reach the 50-point mark.

"It will be an important game, as we can reach the 50-point mark. With this score, we'll stay clear of relegation and practically guarantee a spot in the Copa Sudamericana, and we can even dream of the Copa Libertadores."

For those who think that América-RN's situation in the Championship would make life easier for Flamengo, in Natal, the coach does not believe in an easy game.

"We can't relax. We saw this week that favorites don't always win, with Federer and Hamilton's losses. We have to be fully focused on the match. Our position in the standings is good, but Flamengo deserves an excellent position."
