This Friday (07) marked the end of Mais Querido's preparation for the classic against Vasco, valid for the semifinal phase of the Taça Rio, which will take place this Saturday (08). Zé Ricardo led the last tactical training focused on the confrontation, outlining the team that will go to the field and analyzing the opponent's style of play.
Initially, injury prevention work took place at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA). The group then moved to Field 4, where they warmed up with passing and movement exercises, followed by muscle activation exercises. The goalkeepers began their training on the same field, where coach Vitor Hugo led them in goal-line drills.
Next came tactical training. Attacking movement and defensive positioning received special attention, which also included set-piece practice. The day concluded with a reduced-field session on one half of the pitch and free kicks on the other side.
The squad will remain concentrated at Ninho do Urubu during this Friday (07), with total focus on the classic. The confrontation will take place this Saturday (08) at Maracanã, with the ball rolling from 18:30h.
