On the afternoon of this Friday (16), Flamengo continued its preparation for this weekend's classic against Fluminense. The Flamengo players participated in tactical training focused on the match, which consisted of offensive movement and team positioning, also analyzing the playing style of the tricolor team.
Initially, the group performed the traditional pre-training physical activity at Flamengo's Center of Excellence in Performance (CEP FLA), which involved muscle activation exercises and injury prevention. Afterwards, everyone went to Field 4 at Ninho do Urubu, where physical trainer Daniel Gonçalves guided the squad during the warm-up.
Later, part of the group participated in a small-sided game. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the pitch, Zé Ricardo coordinated tactical training with the rest of the players. On Field 3, forwards Thiago Santos and Gabriel continued their specific training in search of peak form.
Preparation for Fla-Flu will be completed this Saturday (17), in a new training session at Ninho do Urubu. The squad will remain concentrated at the CT before the match on Sunday (18), at Maracanã. The match will start at 16 pm.
