Flamengo's squad reconvened Friday afternoon in Gávea to finalize the details for Sunday's match against Santo André in São Paulo. The match is part of the third round of the 2009 Brazilian Championship.

Emerson, with pain in his left knee, only did strength training at the gym and is ruled out for Sunday's match. The rest of the squad participated in a training session on the Gávea field. Cuca divided the squad into three teams, which faced each other on a reduced field. One of the standout players in the session was forward Adriano, who participated in training with the red-and-black squad for the first time.

After the activity, Cuca said that now is the time to forget the elimination against Inter and think only about getting the first victory in the Brasileirão.

"We need to be calm, balanced, and composed. There's no point in thinking things could have been different. We played well, played two great games, but we didn't qualify. Now it's time to think about Santo André and the Brazilian Championship. We're working hard and we'll be prepared for the weekend."
