Newly signed striker Diogo quickly adapted to the group. On his very first day of training, he stayed late on the pitch at Ninho do Urubu with Renato and David, a scene that is repeated daily during training sessions at Gávea.
"I started getting along really well with Renato as soon as I arrived, I started hitching rides with him, and David is also a very playful guy, who's always in a good mood and with whom we usually stay a little later at training. It's good to have that kind of friendship in the work environment," he said.
Renato, who returned to the club after three years playing in the Arab football league, says he has embraced his new teammate and also praised the good relationship not only between the trio but also within the entire group.
"This synergy on and off the field is important, right? I kind of adopted Diogo when he arrived here. I showed him some things around here. We're both from São Paulo, we clicked quickly. I've known David for a while now, and we're always together. It's good to have this kind of relationship," he added.
