While the senior team didn't win any titles in 2010, the youth team won the Campeonato Carioca with an impeccable campaign. Undefeated champions, with the best attack and the best defense in the competition, Flamengo saw the birth of a generation in whom significant investment is already being made. Proof of this is that four players from that team are already being closely observed in the main squad.
Romário traveled permanently with the group to Londrina, where the team is doing pre-season training. Later, Digão and Muralha arrived, who were competing in the São Paulo Junior Cup. And finally, Adryan arrived after the second round of the Junior Cup. Wearing the number 10 jersey for that team, he explains that he wants to seize this opportunity with all his might.
"As soon as I received the news from coach Paulo Henrique, I was surprised, because it was after the game against Gurupi, but I was very happy, very pleased," said the midfielder, who believes that this generation can bring a lot of joy to Flamengo.
"I hope that this generation is valued and that we can do our best for Flamengo, demonstrating on the field what we have to offer," he stated.
For Adryan, the first contact with the professional team was very good. According to him, all his new teammates welcomed him well, which reassures and motivates the young player, who is only 16 years old.
"The people here are really great, they're all very nice people. They give us a lot of freedom, they joke around with us, and that's really good," he concluded.
