Flamengo will officially present two more reinforcements this Wednesday (30.06), at 15 pm. Correa, who had already been announced on the club's official website, and Val Baiano, who signed a contract with the club this Tuesday (29.06), will wear the club's shirt for the first time and will begin training normally with the rest of the squad.
Val Baiano underwent the full series of tests performed by Flamengo last Monday, while Correa underwent the same procedure on Tuesday. Excited about the performance, the midfielder told the official website that he can't wait to be back on the field.
"I hope to get into the training rhythm there in Itu soon. I already know the training center and I know the work will pay off. I've been preparing on my own since I left Atlético Mineiro, and I think I need about two weeks to be ready to play. I know this preparation I do on my own is important, but it's never the same," he said, before heading to the dentist, one of the exams Flamengo requested.
The list of exams performed on the red-and-black signings is extensive. In total, the athletes undergo 10 tests (a complete blood count, clinical orthopedic exam, an exam with an otolaryngologist, an ophthalmologist, a dentist, a physiologist, a nutritionist, an exercise stress test, an echocardiogram, and an orthopedic exam) and are only released after passing all of them.
Flamengo is a pioneer in this procedure, even being responsible for having established the same exams in all categories of the Brazilian national teams, including the adult team.
