Val Baiano returns from Floripa with a sense of duty fulfilled

Val Baiano arrived at Flamengo eager to show his love for the jersey. Admitting to being a fan of the club since childhood, he had to wait a long time before he could get back to doing what he loves most: scoring goals. He's already scored three goals in two matches, and the striker's confidence has returned.
And it's not just Val Baiano who has regained confidence in his football. The player admits that Vanderlei Luxemburgo's arrival at Flamengo and his words of support have helped the striker lift his spirits and return to scoring goals.
"Having the trust of a coach with Luxemburgo's stature makes you more confident, more relaxed, without a doubt," said Val Baiano, explaining what he wants for the rest of the competition.
"Now I'm disenchanted, aren't I?! The goals are coming and we just need to start winning more often. I hope that can happen soon too," he concluded.
Flamengo returns to full-time training this Tuesday (12.10) at Ninho do Urubu, in Vargem Grande. Players and coaching staff are already thinking about the match against Internacional, next Saturday (16.10), at 18:30 pm, at Engenhão.
