The squad, coaching staff, and structure. Everything in Flamengo's football department is undergoing a restructuring. Therefore, the moment is one of great tranquility. Any difficulties that may arise are normal, and only hard work will lessen them. This is the thinking of Flamengo's coach, Vanderlei Luxemburgo, who believes the team is on the right track at the start of the season.

Training for almost a week in Londrina, during pre-season, the Rubro-negro team drew 0-0 with the home team this Sunday (09.01). The result, however, was the least important thing for Luxa. Satisfied with some good individual performances, the coach believes it is necessary to remain calm when analyzing this early stage of the work.

"I was pleased to see five or six players who moved up from the youth team to the juniors playing well. We played out of rhythm, not yet in top condition, so it was good for a first test. We had the heat, the preparation for the game wasn't the best, and I knew the team would feel it. I wanted it that way. It was just a shame we didn't have some players, like Darío and Maldonado, but we're getting to know the group and preparing the team better," he analyzed.

For Vanderlei, the moment calls for letting things get organized, after the changes that have been made on and off the field, and having patience to do what's best for Flamengo.
\
"We're still at the beginning, there's a lot to happen. The changes in the team, in the squad, in the coaching staff... Everything that's starting has difficulties. I'm not worried about that. We have players whose characteristics we don't know. Next week we have Bottinelli, who we need to get to know better, so I'm quite calm," he concluded.

Flamengo players return to training this Monday afternoon (January 10.01th) at the SM Sports training center in Londrina.
