Flamengo's squad returned to training this Wednesday afternoon in Gávea. After two physical training sessions yesterday, the players took to the field for their first tactical training session of the week. The red-and-black team is preparing to face Ipatinga on Sunday at Maracanã.

In the training session, on a reduced field, the new addition was the red-and-black's new attacking duo. Caio Júnior tested Vandinho alongside Josiel, moving Marcelinho Paraíba back to the fourth midfield role. The starting players trained with: Bruno; Léo Moura, Fábio Luciano, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Jailton, Kleberson, Ibson, and Marcelinho Paraíba; Vandinho and Josiel. The reserve team consisted of: Diego; Dininho, Leonardo, and Airton; Luizinho, Toró, Sambueza, Fierro, and Everton; Maxi and Obina.

After the activity, Caio Júnior spoke a little about the team's new formation.

"This team is likely to face Ipatinga. My goal is to show that we're doing a consistent job, keeping almost 90% of the team. It's the right approach, to give the players rhythm and continuity. Marcelinho enjoys playing in this fourth-man role. He feels good. Vandinho is growing in production and showed that in training. Josiel, on the other hand, will only improve through play and gain confidence. He needs rhythm to get back to scoring goals."
