After the last preseason match for the red-black team, against Serra Macaense, Rafael Vaz gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room, at Ninho do Urubu. The defender commented on the adverse result of the match. However, Vaz guarantees focus on the Mais Querido's first official game, which will take place next Saturday (28).

"Nobody likes to lose, but we know our responsibility begins on Saturday. We're aware that our legs are heavy. It's still too early to start talking," said Vaz, who added, "Regardless of the results we've had so far, the team is on the right track. Flamengo is preparing for Saturday, which is when three points will be at stake," he added.

Afterwards, the number 33 analyzed Boavista, their opponent in the opening match of the Campeonato Carioca. The match will be played at Arena das Dunas in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, with kick-off starting at 19:30 p.m. This will be Flamengo's first official match of the 2017 season.

"It's a team that's been training for a long time and has great players who have played for big clubs. It's going to be a very difficult game, but we have to do our part.
