Fans who enter Flamengo's Trophy Room and are thrilled to discover the 105 most important trophies in the club's history should get ready. If everything goes as Flamengo's board hopes, on November 15th of next year, the club's anniversary, a museum covering approximately 3.000 square meters will be inaugurated in Gávea. Visitors will journey through the history of the Most Beloved through thousands of trophies, videos, uniforms, and photos.

One of the Flamengo Museum's main attractions will be the collection of approximately 10 trophies won by the club. Not all of them will be on display due to insufficient space, but they will be registered, photographed, and made available online. LANCENET! was granted exclusive access to the room where the trophies are stored, recovered, and cataloged.

There, two employees look after the treasure, which is accessible only to members and directors. The care taken with the collection is so great that Antônio Resende, who looks after the place, refused to be photographed so he could remain anonymous on the club's premises.

The promise of the vice-president of Fla-Gávea, Luiz Paulo Segond, responsible for running the project, is that the red-black museum will be the most modern not only in the country:

"Our slogan defines our goal: 'The best museum in the world for the greatest team in the world.' We want to have the most complete and visited museum of all. We have everything we need. We have 35 million fans, and we're going to open the club's walls to them," said Segond.

In addition to the trophies, the museum will display relics of immeasurable value to Flamengo fans. Historic jerseys, such as those worn by Adílio and Nunes, who scored the winning goals in the 1981 Club World Cup, are carefully stored in a climate-controlled room.

"The museum will convey the thrill of being Flamengo even to non-Flamengo fans. There will be a virtual tour where visitors will travel through the club's history. We want to transform this into a tourism hub," explained Segond.

The club's museum project is currently in the fundraising phase. According to Luiz Paulo Segond, the attraction won't cost the club a cent. All investment will come from the private sector, which will utilize cultural incentive laws to support the project.

"The money invested by companies in the project would pay taxes. No one will put anything in their own pocket; it's just what would already be spent on ICMS (Merchandise Sales and Services), for example. Furthermore, it's positive to associate the name with Flamengo," he stated.

For those who want to advertise at the museum, one of the biggest attractions will be a space on the facade, where there will be a huge fan counter. With an estimated 35 million fans, Flamengo's fan base will be constantly updated on the panel.

According to the project, the Flamengo Museum will be the most modern of all football club museums in the world. Check out the main attractions of the Flamengo dream, which is scheduled to open in 2008:

- The facade is entirely black and red, with a fan counter and a large illuminated panel that reads "Flamengo Museum." The counter will track the number of Flamengo fans across the country.

- Two-story themed bar, overlooking Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.

- Multimedia room. Visitors will have access to the club's history through tunnels where they will find trophies, videos, and large screens. All interactive.

- Trophy Room. Flamengo has nearly 10 trophies that will be digitized and made available to visitors online or through internal terminals. The main trophies will be displayed in the new trophy room.

- Walk of Fame. Visitors will reach the museum through it. There, fans can see the club's greatest heroes, both in football and in Olympic sports.

- Fan room with temporary exhibition. This will be a place for fans to show their pride in being red-and-black. The space will feature photos and objects that illustrate the passion for the club.

- Historic jerseys and videos. Jerseys from the 1981 World Cup victory, featuring idol Zico, opponents, and the new uniforms will be displayed on the museum's walls.

- Statues of players. The greatest idols will be remembered as they deserve: in statues.

- Room for temporary events. Book launches, exhibitions, and small receptions can be held here.

- Sports equipment and souvenir shop.

- New Generation Project. The names of the new Flamengo players will be announced in this room and will begin to become part of Flamengo's history.
