In a ceremony held at the new professional module of the George Helal Training Center, Flamengo paid tribute to two of the media professionals who lost their lives in the Colombia tragedy that occurred in late November. In the accident, the flight carrying Chapecoense players, coaching staff, and executives, as well as the reporting crews covering the Copa Sudamericana final, crashed while en route to Medellín, where the first match was scheduled to take place.

The press room was named after journalist Victorino Chermont, while the space where the workstations are located was named in memory of cinematographic reporter Rodrigo Santana.

In his opening speech at the inauguration ceremony, President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello remembered the great Flamengo fans who were both honored, without sacrificing their professionalism in the performance of their duties. Victorino Chermont's father, Mr. Victorino, also delivered an emotional speech, in which he praised the memory of his son, the great man. The journalist's father also thanked the club his son loved so much for all the tributes they had paid.

Two great professionals, extremely competent in their professions, who always carried the love for the Most Beloved in their lives. As of this Wednesday (14), their names are officially marked forever in the history of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
