Making their debut in the Rio Cup on Wednesday night (21), Flamengo beat Madureira 4-0 and won the first three points of the competition. Setting the game on fire in the second half at Nilton Santos, Vinicius Junior came on and scored another goal in the season. 

"I'm very happy to score another goal in the championship. The team has been improving with each game and showing this well, we managed to score four goals and earn three more points in the championship," commented the youngster.

Flamengo returns to the field next Saturday (24), at 17 pm, when they face Fluminense at Arena Pantanal, in Cuiabá. For Vinicius, despite the Libertadores challenge approaching, Rubro-Negro will focus on the classic first.

"We're prepared for every match. Of course, we're focused on Wednesday's Libertadores game, but first we need to think about Saturday's derby, see who the coach will bring to the game and go in with full strength," he added.
