Despite a high volume of play in the second half, the classic match between Flamengo and Botafogo ended in a 0-0 draw at the Raulino de Oliveira stadium in Volta Redonda. Vinicius Júnior was one of the key players responsible for Flamengo's good performance in the final stage of the match, hitting the crossbar in one of the opportunities created by the team.

The young striker commented on almost scoring his first goal for the first team. "It was close. I chipped it and unfortunately it picked up a little bit of force. The balls in the Brazilian Championship are different, some heavier and some lighter. This one was very light and went up a bit. But now I have to concentrate to score in the next game," he said.

In his fourth appearance as a professional athlete, Vinicius assessed the match, stating that it was his most outstanding performance to date. "It was my best game. I played a lot of time and was able to help the team tactically and offensively. I'm more mature, more experienced, with the support of the whole group, of Zé, of the coaching staff, and this has been improving my performance," he noted.

This Wednesday (07), for the continuation of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo will visit Sport. The match will be played at Ilha do Retiro, with the ball rolling from 21:45 pm.
