Flamengo lost to Fluminense, on Saturday afternoon (24), in the second round of the Taça Rio. Still at Arena Pantanal, in Cuiabá, young Vinicius Junior spoke about the result, lamenting the defeat and projecting the next game for the Libertadores.

"A match to forget. We were doing an excellent job until now, but today we couldn't put into practice what we trained for and this happened," he said.

Next Wednesday (28), Flamengo hosts River Plate in the Libertadores debut, at 21:45 pm, at the Nilton Santos stadium. For Vinicius, now is the time to focus fully on the challenge.

"Now it's time to lift our heads, have the humility to accept and acknowledge that we didn't play well. We need to train hard. We have to come back different on Wednesday and go after River," he concluded.
