Vinícius Pacheco only thinks about the three points

Supporter believes that victory should be Flamengo's objective regardless of the opponent

In the Brazilian Championship, played on a points-based system, all matches are worth the same to both teams. After all, a victory against the first-place or last-place team earns the same three points for the winning team. This is the mindset of Flamengo's players for Sunday's (August 01.08) derby against Vasco da Gama at the Maracanã stadium.

Regardless of the rivalry, supporter Vinícius Pacheco believes that victory should be Flamengo's objective, regardless of the opponent, in every match of the competition.

"It's different playing Flamengo and Vasco, but we have to treat it as another important round, where we need to earn points. The rivalry is more for the fans. On the field, we have to go for the points," he said.

The number 22, however, emphasizes the importance of a classic for the team's morale. The midfielder believes Vasco will be a worthy opponent, but is confident in a Flamengo victory.

"It's an important game, a classic with a lot of rivalry, and we're going to face a strong team. We're prepared to get the win," he concluded.
