In a press conference before Tuesday morning's (02) activity at Ninho do Urubu, the striker reported that the coach has been trying to get the best out of him in training and this is encouraged every day. In the 3-1 victory against Madureira in a training match at Gávea, Vitinho scored two goals and gained even more confidence to continue the work.
"I'm happy with Jorge Jesus' confidence. I was able to play a lot against Madureira and scored two goals. It's been great to have a European coach in Brazil. He's been trying to get the best out of me and everyone at Flamengo. Of course, it's only been 12 days of work; he still has a lot to teach us. I've been focusing on learning everything he's been teaching us," he emphasizes.

Flamengo has an intense week of work ahead of them as they prepare for the Copa do Brasil match against Athletico-PR on the 10th at Arena da Baixada. Vitinho wants to be available for Jorge Jesus to give his best in this first crucial match of July.
"I hope to continue my progress and improve, get more time on the field and make the most of it. I've been demanding a lot from myself in terms of preparation and concentration. I want to do well, have a run, help Flamengo, and be what everyone expects of me."
