The new Mister has arrived! Portuguese coach Vítor Pereira landed this Monday morning (2) at Galeão airport in Rio de Janeiro to begin his work at Flamengo. He was welcomed by assistant coach Rui Quinta and physical trainer Mário Monteiro, who are part of his technical staff.

On Rio de Janeiro soil, the 54-year-old coach spoke to FlaTV and expressed his happiness at wearing the Sacred Mantle.

"It's a great joy to be here. We are very pleased to accept this great challenge, with responsibility and commitment. And we want to repay the club's trust in us with hard work," said the Portuguese.

Later today, Vítor Pereira will travel to Ninho do Urubu to introduce himself to the red-and-black squad and begin his work leading the team. He signed a contract with the team until December 2023.
