In the Copa Santander Libertadores, the Rubro-negro will face Universidad Católica this Wednesday (April 14.04), and this spirit will help the team achieve another positive result.
One of Flamengo's standout players at the start of this season, right-back Léo Moura explains that the group's feeling is not excitement, which could end up generating unnecessary fuss.
"This result against Vasco gives us even more motivation to play another decisive Libertadores game. Motivation, not excitement. We leave that other feeling to the fans. We knew that if we didn't win, it would complicate our lives. But the group outdid itself," said Léo Moura, revealing Flamengo's secret to performing well in decisive moments.
"We're very tired, but with everyone helping each other, we can go far. We're in good spirits, and that's what really matters. The team has been performing well, even with everyone wanting to beat us. We're playing two very important competitions and we're feeling the strain. Today (Sunday), I left the field very tired. The secret is to overcome this with a lot of dedication and camaraderie," explained the player, who has once again enjoyed a great run of form.
"I'm improving game by game. I feel it and I'm getting more and more excited. I need to give back to the club that welcomed me. It was here that I won my biggest titles and made it to the national team. I give 100%."
