Victories are more important than goals
Diogo wants to score for the first time for Fla, but says that the most important thing is for the team to get results.

When the team is doing well, individual talent shines through. This is the mindset that striker Diogo is approaching Flamengo's upcoming rounds in the 2010 Brazilian Championship. The 23-year-old has already played six matches for Flamengo and has yet to score. He's obviously eager to find the net, but says the key is for the team to achieve positive results.
The one who broke the ice and scored his first goal for his new club last Sunday (19.09) was Diogo's strike partner, Deivid. Happy for his partner, Diogo now hopes to leave his mark as well.
"I was very happy with Deivid's goal. I'm really waiting for mine to come, of course I'm looking forward to it, but like I said, the important thing is for the team to get results. We really want to climb the table and I'll do my best to help do that," he said.
After leaving the duel with Fluminense at the weekend exhausted and with cramps, Diogo says he is ready for another tough battle in the Brazilian Championship, Wednesday (22.09), against Grêmio.
"It was a tough game, with the Engenhão pitch being tough, coming off another tough match against Prudente, which was very close until the end. So I ended up feeling a bit tired, yes, but it's nothing to worry about. I left with cramps, which is normal, but I'm available for Wednesday's game," he concluded.
